Thank you Mrs. Covids (13/19)
The two most recurring virtues, or the lack thereof, in daily life, are patience and persistence. All virtues alike, nurturing them starts by updating our mental concept.
Each word we hold in our conscious and unconscious mind has an original label, a definition we once gave it. Often, this label is a copy of some else interpretation. I encountered this with several virtues, and I'm glad I did my own investigation.
The moment you get to see the meaning of each virtue in the light of the five fundamental principles of human nature, you touch upon their more profound sense.
Patience and persistence are the bouncers at the doors of the here and now. They guide us back to the present moment whenever we wander off too far in the past or the future. Once present, they dissolve or merge into one.
On their journey towards the now, they support one another and even get tangled up along the way from time to time. It is persistence that brings out the value of patience and the other way around.
If we want to co-create with the divine, we have to make space for it, be patient, and persist.
You'll find some of my learnings about patience and persistence in my sharings of Scent&Sense.
Thank you Mrs. Covids,
Steven.
