Thank you Mrs. Covids (10/19)
After having taken sufficient care of the foundation, it's time to imagine and dream.
The dream or vision serves several purposes. It provides for an externally projected value structure that will trigger our internal one, so we can become conscious about it.
It pushes against our self-sabotaging beliefs, right from the start. Just the idea of a dream might be challenging at first. If that feeling is too strong, then go with a vision that I consider the more masculine version of a dream.
Externally, the dream focusses our attention, so we'll get to see more of what is already there. Only because it has become of value. We just never noticed it.
Defining a vision can be scary, as it confronts us with our current limitations and failures. Failing, however, is the best way to learn and the only way forward. It is why we need to fertilize the foundation a little first.
The creation of a vision or a dream definitely requires aiming up but is done from the ground. It is crucial to know where we want to go, but pointless is we don't know where we are. This is where honesty comes into play. How are we truly doing, or better, how are we being?
Ultimately, the dream will serve as the bait on a fishing rod, catching what we already hold inside. The creation of a dream or vision needs to be broken down in smaller steps afterward. For some, that might be a daily goal, for others, a monthly or even longer. After all, we're venturing in the unknown, who knows what will show?
There are many techniques and guidelines for a well-formulated dream. The only one I would like to share at this moment is that your vision is best oriented toward what you want to be, instead of toward what you want to do.
Life is fundamentally a discovery, and you're only part of the equation. You're not in control.
