Thank you to the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce Member Network for naming Sylvia's Children as their 2023 Beacon of Excellence Beacon of Hope Award Honoree.

For over four decades, Sylvia Allen has been the powerhouse driving force and unrivaled visionary behind Allen Consulting, one of the country’s leading integrated marketing agencies. Her boundless ingenuity and creative adaptability, as well as her tenacity on behalf of her many clients, have been the foundation for the company’s decades-long success.

Concurrently, since 2003 she has been the driving force behind SYLVIA’S CHILDREN, a 501(c)3 nonprofit supporting the Mbiriizi Advanced Primary and Day Care School in Uganda, Africa. Asked 20 years ago to be their grandmother she wholeheartedly committed to her new role, single-handedly raising over $2M; graduating 77 orphans from colleges and/or technical schools with 100 more in college right now, 87 in high school, and 250 in primary school; and increasing the size of the school dramatically from four buildings to 26, in addition to adding a chicken farm (20,000 chickens), 6,000 sq. ft. medical clinic, a library, a sewing business, a bus, and much more. It has been because of Allen Consulting that Sylvia’s Children has experienced such wonderful success! She made herself her own client!

Allen has an uncanny knack for astutely and almost intuitively “reading” and being responsive to her clients’ professional needs and then developing strategic programs that meet those needs through robust media relations, digital advertising, and marketing campaigns that weave together social media, website design, and more, as well as designing award-winning public relations programs and fundraising/sponsorship programs.
