Thank You for Making the Carbon Summit 2024 a Success
Last week, we hosted an incredible Carbon Summit 2024 at the ASU Student Pavilion, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it possible. From the speakers, panelists, students, entrepreneurs, and attendees – your energy and passion helped us plant some seeds, moving this event forward towards a sustainable future.
This year, we had the unique honor of hosting the summit at a time when both President Biden and former President Trump were in Phoenix, recognizing the importance of Arizona in the national conversation. We are proud to have aligned our efforts with the attention on Arizona, showing that climate action and sustainability belong at the forefront of our region’s agenda. It's important to keep in mind that we're not rating our event's success on the number of attendees. As social entrepreneurs we're building the frameworks, foundations, and principles of what a generative event is capable of. We'll keep iterating...Field of Dreams style.
Gratitude to Our Partners
Thank you to the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and Graduate Student Government (GSG) for being key funding partners. I'm grateful that the Carbon Council stepped in wherever needed, ensuring the event’s success. A special thanks to PAB Productions, Aramark, ASU Event Services, Mazevo, and Stova for providing critical event support. Your contributions ensured that everything went smoothly, a few hiccups here and there are to be expected.
Thank You to the Speakers & Panelists
We extend our deepest gratitude to the keynotes, speakers, and panelists for taking the time to join us at the Student Pavilion. This may have been one of the busiest weeks of the year, so it means a lot to have had nearly 40 speakers engaged on stage.
We're now in the post-production phase of the event and want to let our speakers know that we are happy to share the content with you. We’ll be working on edits over the next few weeks and will provide access to the final materials once they’re ready. You can view the entire two day conference on the US Energy Youtube Page. https://www.youtube.com/@Usenergy
Thank you again for your time, insights, and contributions toward making the Carbon Summit 2024 an impactful event!
What’s Next?
We set out to create a hybrid event framework that brings together the best elements of learning, collaboration, and action. With the success of this year’s summit, we believe we now have a model that is ready to grow. Next year, we will streamline the program by wrapping sessions by 4:30 PM, allowing 1.5 hours of networking, socializing, and working groups to close out each event day.
Our focus for 2025 is on "Greening the Desert," a theme that will anchor our agenda and efforts throughout the year. Additionally, we have begun the buildout of Catalynq, a student-led sustainable solutions marketplace, which will connect students, entrepreneurs, partners, operators and businesses to drive real-world sustainability solutions.

Join Us in Shaping the Future
The Carbon Summit laid a foundation for actionable sustainability, and we’re excited to build on this momentum and inertia. Thank you once again to everyone who participated, and we look forward to working with you to create lasting change! Although I loved all the keynotes and panels the Carbon Council was my favorite panel to moderate:
Let’s continue this journey together. ??
