Thank you Lord for what I have got

Thank you Lord for what I have got

The best way to show gratitude to God is to be obedient and show love to your fellow humans regardless of social status, nationality, race, gender, creed, color, language, heritage, faith(or lack thereof), or anything else. It is said that, a prisoner called Corey Ten Boom wondered as she and her sister were in a Nazi concentration camp. Her sister doubted it could be done. But Corey insisted. She began giving thanks for all things: the guards, the bread rations, the fleas that infested their cell.

Over time, Corey was so joyful it confused the guards and the other prisoners. They preached the Gospel both to the guards and the prisoners when they asked them how in the world they could give thanks for all things, and numerous people were saved. The Bible tells us to give thanks in all things, and for all things. God will give us the grace to obey Him when we seek to do what honors Christ. This includes trying to give thanks for all things.

Some people will say pray or worship os some other nonsense. Balderdash! Some of these Modern Testament yahoos think its all about Hail Mary and Our Father and Ave Maria! What does the omnipotent one care for a few of your badly sung hymns!? If you really want to thank God then you must give him some sacrifice. God loves a good sacrifice. Ideally a first born. Who cannot feel but pleased and full of Gods love when we hear how God demanded Abraham sacrifice Isaac to prove his love to God. So if you want to thank lord, think first born.

Listening, delighting, considering, waiting, seeing, speaking, caring, thinking, being, saving, giving, loving, completing, explaining, sharing, not complaining. There are many ways to express gratitude but the most common is by rendering some devotional service. There are nine more ways to do this. Hearing and chanting about the transcendental holy name, form, qualities, paraphernalia and pastimes of Lord Vishnu, remembering them, serving the lotus feet of the Lord, offering the Lord respectful worship, offering prayers to the Lord, becoming His servant, considering the Lord one's best friend, and surrendering everything unto Him (in other words, serving Him with the body, mind and words) -- these nine processes are accepted as pure devotional service. SB 7.5.23-24

Of these nine processes, hearing and chanting are the topmost. This is confirmed in many scriptures and traditions. The Lord’s name is undoubtedly sacred and by hearing and chanting it one pays respect to the Lord, and shows gratitude at the same time. Only those who are most unfortunate are unable to chant the Lord’s names. Devotional service, beginning with the chanting of the holy name of the Lord, is the ultimate religious principle for the living entity in human society. SB 6.3.22

"Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare" Chant this mantra humbly with respect and appreciation. Chant as an offering of love to the Lord and His energy. Chant as if the Lord was personally standing in front of you. Chant with gratitude that you are able to chant. When it is no longer possible to chant then do any small service for the Lord, even within the mind, with heartfelt sincerity, appreciation, and recognition of His position. If you can do some great service with the same attitude then even better. Jay Shri Krishna
