Thank You, Kolkata – A City That Gave Me So Much
When I first stepped into Kolkata in February 2019, I never imagined how deeply this city would shape me—both professionally and personally. What started as a career move with British Telecom soon turned into an experience filled with learning, friendships, and cultural discoveries that I will cherish forever.
A Workplace That Felt Like Family
I joined as a Team Lead - Service Operations, managing multiple contracts, and over time, I grew into the role of Manager Service Operations leading key Bespoke Accounts. But beyond the job titles and responsibilities, what truly stood out was the people.
The Kolkata Operations team welcomed me with open arms. From the mentorship I received from the leadership to the support and fellowship of my colleagues, every challenge felt easier because of the incredible team around me. The late-night troubleshooting sessions, the team lunches, and the small wins celebrated together—all of it made work feel less like work.
More Than Just a City—A Cultural Experience
Kolkata isn’t just a workplace; it’s an emotion. Over the years, I soaked in the city’s rich culture, traditions, and warmth. I even picked up a bit of Bengali - not perfect, but enough to bring a smile to my colleagues faces when I said “Kemon acho?” (How are you?)

Durga Puja celebrations, the energy of the city streets, and the kindness of people I met along the way - every bit of it made me feel like I belonged.
Sweet Memories
And of course, how can I forget the mishti (sweets)? Rasgullas, Sandesh, Mishti Doi—each bite felt like Kolkata was giving me a warm, sweet hug. The city is known for its sweetness, not just in food but also in the way people treat you—with kindness, warmth, and a heart always ready to help.

As I move forward in my journey, I leave with a heart full of gratitude.
