Thank you for Killing My Company

Thank you for Killing My Company

Months ago, I was given this book as a surprise gift. Of course, the title was catchy and as a young entrepreneur I was indeed interested in how to kill my own company before it died or was killed by the competition. But at that time, I had a pending reading challenge and delightful books that were being devoured by myself.

A month ago, I started reading this masterpiece. As soon as I started it caught my attention. The examples were great, the research behind it is impressive and the lots of exercises and activities are by far the best that I have read.

From Killer Queries to Kill a stupid rule, this book teaches us to rethink how things are done and why. Through its 256 pages, you are captured entirely by its real-life examples of how companies were dying without knowing, how they could have mitigated this obvious death and how others decide to kill it by themselves.

I want to thank, CEO at FUTURETHINK and this book′s author, Lisa Bodell, for allowing me to kill my own company and start thinking differently. Considering that this book′s firsts edition was in 2012 and that they talk about 2025 as a very faraway date, I am sure that reading this book 3 years from that date is enough to change mindsets, ways of working and thinking starting today.

I encourage every single business owner, future entrepreneur or collaborator at a company, no matter its size, to read this book today. I read it as business owner, but I am sure this book is and will be useful for every single reader, no matter their current role, company or industry.

Finally, I would also want to thank Ana Segura for this great gift and for the acquired taste for reading and invite everyone who reads this article to gift books, starting from this one.
