This week is customer service week - the one week each year when we celebrate those people who are charged with 'saving the day' when something goes wrong upstream in a business. I've been in the contact center/customer service space my entire adult life yet I never ceased to be amazed by the agility, breadth of knowledge and dedication of the people who choose to make this their career.
I currently have the honor of leading the customer service function at Stericycle, Inc. The picture above was taken nearly a year ago as I began my journey with this team. I wanted to take a moment today to publicly recognize these amazing leaders for their unwavering commitment to our customers and their team members. As the title says, the words 'thank you' will never feel like enough to fully express my gratitude for this team. They truly do it all and then some, every single day. They are tenacious, empathetic, adaptable, fearless and brilliant. No matter the challenge, they find a solution. They and the amazing people they lead are the magic behind the curtain and they deserve to be applauded for the incredible work they do.
