Do you feel like and say thank you enough? In our busy life we tend to forget, due to our business, to say Thank You, but saying a 'thank you' needs to be celebrated.
11th January was the International Thank-You Day.
Often we forget to say a 'thank you' as it is taken for granted. But not just words counts here, also gestures, any kind of body language or acts of kindness can be a 'thank you'. You may wonder why it is so important to say thank you, as that person does something for someone and must feel happy enough that she/he did it for that someone. It is one thing to give and another to receive. How do you receive gifts (and I mean everything with this word, from opening a door, keeping the lift door open for you, taking care of some chores for you, getting you a recommendation, inviting you to a yacht trip etc.).
It is essential to show (in any way which is possible for you) gratitude from the bottom of the heart to those who made your life better and happier.
The good manners of a person will be shown in the sense of words, or gestures, body language. Of course, some say a thank you out of duty and not from the heart. Maybe because of the importance of saying thank you, International Thank-You Day has been established. With this celebration Day on the calendar, one can understand how much a thank you means. But hold on, it is not just for this one day in the year, no. I'd like to encourage everyone to express gratitude every single day. By the way, it is also to show respect and acknowledge that that person and the/ his action matter. Never hesitate to utter these simple words which give more sense, and never be stingy about a smile, hug or whatever your body language might be to express your gratitude.
“Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.” – Ralph Marston
So, as you read my lines for you here, it might be a wonderful occasion to say Thank You to your creator (Universe or God), parents, relatives, friends, children, employees, co-workers, managers / boss, your baker, cashier in the supermarket, simply everybody who comes in your periphery of performing day-to day activities.
I want to take this moment to also thank you for reading and following me. It means a lot to me and I also didn't express it much, I guess.
Watch here my morning gratitude meditation which I created for you.
So, THANK YOU
