Thank You HP Indigo

I vividly remember my interview at HP Indigo over 13 years ago.

It was just before drupa 2008 and Building 10 in Ness Ziona was a mess. Piles of print samples everywhere. People having heated debates in the hallways. Electric energy all around me. And I thought to myself, this is where I want to work. This is where I belong.

The rest is history, and reality was beyond anything I could have expected.

For more than a decade, HP Indigo was my second home, and my second family. During these years, so much has happened to me, to Indigo, and to the world.

I learned all about an exciting industry undergoing transformation. I travelled around the world meeting customers, speaking at conferences, attending trade shows. I became a manager. I got married and became a mother. I took a leading role in product launches that truly changed the world. I got to see my team members grow and develop.

There is too much to summarize, really, so I will just share a few of the highlights as I am stricken with nostalgia and pride:

First, drupa 2012 and the launch of Indigo’s series 4 platform. We spent weeks in Dusseldorf, all as one team. We celebrated Israel’s independence day by printing a very long Israeli flag on the Indigo 20000. We worked tirelessly and it seemed like we would never make it. The entire marketing team (managers included!) sat on the floor and framed Indigo prints to hang in meeting rooms just hours before the show opened. The technical teams worked on bugs and operational issues. And then the Indigo magic struck just as the doors opened to thousands of people squeezing through our booth which ran flawlessly.

Second, inspiring interactions with Indigo customers – what an outstanding, passionate crowd. Especially those who have partnered with us and volunteered their time and wisdom in our customer advisory councils and at Dscoop, which is such a unique user group. It fills me with pride to know that I had even a small contribution in building this community for education, support through hard times, and just having fun together. Some of the best parties I’ve ever been to were hosted by Dscoop - and they faced tight competition from many other Indigo parties ??. Work hard-play hard, at its best.

?Third, shifting our 2020 portfolio launch from physical to fully virtual, almost overnight. Suddenly our whole team needed to become a television production crew. Scripting, video editing, hosting, producing. With the same type of energy, focus on detail, and delivery, that our team shows in any other situation. I must say this was a personal revelation to me… As a presenter and a host, I found a new skill I never imagined I had in me, and I really enjoyed it.

?And of course. Countless VIP events, tradeshows, product releases, strategic planning sessions, product roadmap discussions, budget preps, negotiations with R&D, analysis with finance, staff meetings, management updates… But actually, more memorable, were the moments in between those, funny moments with colleagues, touching personal milestones, happy occasions, and sad ones, across a big extended family.

?I’m so full of gratitude and simply want to thank the many people who have been part of this incredible journey with me.

To my managers over the years, particularly Haim, Ronen, Yogev and Alon: Thank you for mentoring and coaching me. For your lessons on business and marketing, on management and organizational politics, on humanity and humility. For believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be my best. And the Indigo management team, present and past, for your support, guidance and partnership.

To my team members: Thank you for your ideas, big and small. For your passion and dedication, your creativity and your professionalism. For putting your heart and soul into the work. And mostly for your friendship. I have learned from all of you more than you will ever imagine.

To the colleagues in Israel and around the world with whom I’ve worked shoulder to shoulder for so long, and to and the extended Indigo team, our channels, our solution partners, our customers: You are the ones that make the Indigo magic happen again and again. Thank you for your wisdom, your innovations, your comradery and can-do approach. You have made my life so much more fulfilling.

And most of all a huge thank you to my family and specifically my husband, I couldn’t have done any of it without him by my side.

Today this amazing chapter ends for me, and a new one begins. I’m stepping into the unknown, quite honestly without a plan yet, besides taking some time at home with my family. I’m a bit scared but mostly excited for what the future holds. It is a new journey… but I’m now equipped with so much that I’ve gained over these years with all of you.?I will cherish it all.

?Thank you HP Indigo, from the bottom of my heart.
