Thank you!
Officially graduated!
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. There have been thousands of people who have influenced me and I'm constantly trying to mirror what I believe are the best parts of each of them. The end goal has always been to become the best possible person and man that I can be.
This is my way of acknowledging those who've played a role in my life and looking towards the future.
First my family. It's hard to deny the influence ones family has. You spend ~18 years of your life with them before moving on (in my case to college). And while they continue to play a part in your life, it's those first 18 years that form the baseline for who you are as a person. I'm grateful that my parents and siblings were always positive influences in my life. Doing everything your parents say is a recipe for disaster. I'm grateful for their support in my decisions when I chose to disobey their suggestions. Support in your decisions is really all you can hope for as a child, and my parents did a great job.
Additionally shoutout to my extended family for all the fun memories, don't want to make this too long.
Teachers, there's something magical about a person pushes you to become a better version of yourself. At every step of the way I've had teachers that inspired my interests in business, languages, and seeing the world not as a tourist but as a local. Teachers are the ultimate long term investors as they put their whole lives into students who will go on to do so many cool things. I'm grateful for the investment they made in me.
Friends, life has been much better for knowing you. Whether we used to be close and have drifted or we're still in constant contact to this day, I'm grateful for the adventures we have shared and am excited to see where those adventures take us in the future.
Real world, I'm excited for all you have in store. I'm grateful to the team at Socio and the Orr Fellowship for taking a chance on me and I am ready to kick some ass. Let's get it!
