Thank you & goodbye!

When we founded protel back in 1994, I had no concrete idea of where exactly the journey should go. Of course, you want to be successful, have satisfied customers and be able to make a living with the company. But how is success defined? We didn't have a business plan that specified what exactly had to be done and when. We just did it. That may sound unprofessional (and it probably was), but it worked - and really well, as we all know.

There are certainly several reasons for this. From my point of view, one of the most important is that we have always found employees and also sales partners who shared the protel spirit with us. They were willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. The other major reason is the partnership with our fantastic customers all over the world, with whom we work trustfully and reliably - with many even for more than 20 years.

In recent years, we have been able to build up a structure at protel that no longer requires me to be involved in all issues and at all times. And so we now have two aspects - firstly, the entry of Advent International and Eurazeo as investors, who not only accompanies the further development of the company, but in many areas makes it possible in the first place and thus secures its continued existence and growth in the long term. And secondly, the fact that we have so many good employees, especially in the key positions, who do their job on their own initiative and professionally. The combination of these two aspects made me realise that my commitment to protel is no longer necessary for the continued success of the company.

For these reasons, I have decided to leave. So not only I have sold my shares in protel, but I will also no longer be active as Managing Director for protel.

I am sure you can understand that this carefully considered step to exit the company now has not been easy for me. I would like to thank you all for the cooperation and the time we spent together. Communicating, interacting, cooperating with so many different people with different mentalities from different areas of the world has always been one of the most interesting aspects of my professional life. It has made me what I am today. And a little bit each of you has played a part in that.?

I am absolutely convinced of protel's continued success, also because
Ingo Dignas will remain with the company in an executive position.?
Thank you again for everything - I already miss you, protel family!
