THANK YOU GFPD SAB and Researchers!

This past weekend I had the privilege of co-hosting the GFPD Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Virtual Retreat with the GFPD Co-Founder and Executive President, Melissa Gamble. We had a great review of research in the field of Peroxisomal Disorders from our fantastic group of physicians and scientists with robust discussion from our international SAB members. We were also joined by members of the Scientific Initiatives Committee (SIC) as well as the Board of Directors to get updates to sponsored grant work and to insure alignment with the GFPD goal of funding research that has a real opportunity to make an impact on the quality of life of individuals affected by peroxisomal disorders and their families.

I very much appreciate all of our researchers and members giving the better part of their Saturday to this Virtual Retreat. Over the past 4 years, THE GFPD has sponsored grants supporting work at 10 academic and research institutions and we are making slow but deliberate progress toward advancing the overall scientific knowledge of peroxisomal disorders, their metabolic and clinical signatures and ultimately, meaningful treatments. I feel confident thanking our fantastic researchers and SAB on behalf of the GFPD families and donors.

THANK YOU!
