Special Thanks from TWO x TWO 2015

TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art is a remarkable illustration of what can be achieved when the vision, determination, passion, and incredible generosity of so many people converge. Since its inception, TWO x TWO has raised over $60 million for amfAR and the Dallas Museum of Art. We are truly inspired and moved by the unrelenting support and devotion of the Dallas community and our friends in the contemporary art world whose continued efforts and support have created one of the most beloved and significant fundraising endeavors of our time. It is with sincere thanks and gratitude that we acknowledge the following for their exceptional contributions to TWO x TWO 2015:

DMA and amfAR Board Trustee Cindy Rachofsky and her husband Howard, for welcoming us into their magnificent Richard Meier-designed house for the seventeenth time. It is their remarkable vision and passionate support for the Dallas Museum of Art, their dedication to amfAR and the fight against AIDS, and their extraordinary generosity that have made TWO x TWO such a cherished experience for everyone involved. We are eternally grateful for their heartfelt commitment and leadership.

TWO x TWO’s spectacular 2015 Chairman, Nancy C. Rogers. Nancy has for many years been one of TWO x TWO’s most loyal and generous devotees. Nancy’s support of this event is just a small part of her influence in the Dallas art and philanthropic communities. Her leadership, poise, and generosity have had a profound impact on TWO x TWO and so many other wonderful organizations in North Texas. We are forever grateful to Nancy for her friendship and for her endless efforts to champion TWO x TWO.

Presenting Sponsor, Harry Winston, for their generous participation as part of their groundbreaking global partnership with amfAR in the fight against AIDS.

Our wonderful friends at Audi of America for their tremendous and ongoing support as a Presenting Sponsor. We also thank them for providing ground transportation in Audi cars for so many of our guests during the weekend of events.

Platinum Sponsors Dom Pérignon and Sotheby’s. Cheers to Dom Pérignon, Belevedere, and Mo?t Hennessy U.S.A. who generously provide all of the luxury Champagne and cocktails for the week of TWO x TWO events. Sotheby’s 16-year partnership with TWO x TWO has been instrumental to the success of the event, most notably due to their vision to create an education-oriented atmosphere through their annual underwriting of the auction catalogue. We thank Sotheby’s for once again hosting the annual TWO x TWO Highlights Preview Exhibition in New York—an event that continues to lay the foundation for further expanding TWO x TWO’s audience outside of Dallas.

Distinguished artist Ellsworth Kelly, this year’s recipient of the amfAR Award of Excellence for Artistic Contributions to the Fight Against AIDS. The presentation of this annual award will take place during a brunch on Sunday, October 25, hosted by Amy Faulconer and Cindy and Howard Rachofsky at The Warehouse. We thank U.S. Trust for again sponsoring the annual Sunday brunch. It is a great privilege to welcome Ellsworth Kelly, and we thank him and our friends at Matthew Marks Gallery for their many years of support of TWO x TWO.

Connie Cullum Byers, Sara Deal, Thomas Feulmer, Abel Hernandez, Jeanne Lil Chvosta, Jodie Oliver, Caitlin Overton, Anna Pates, Tony Silva, and Patricia Venegas of The Rachofsky Collection and The Warehouse, whose hard work is instrumental in the production of this event. We thank them all for their significant contributions.

The staff of the DMA for their invaluable help in promoting the event and mobilizing the art community. We wish to recognize in particular Gavin Delahunty, the Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, and Gabriel Ritter, the Nancy and Tim Hanley Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art. Sincere gratitude and recognition go to Rob Stein, Deputy Director, for his leadership, and to Shyam Oberoi, Director of Technology, for his assistance with TWO x TWO’s website and online catalogue.

The Buzzell Company for managing the local press campaign. Our sincere thanks go to Barbara Buzzell, President, for her continued support. We also recognize FD, our local Media Sponsor, for their generous support and coverage of the TWO x TWO events.

Silver Sponsors Unified Fine Arts Services for facilitating the TWO x TWO art installation at The Rachofsky House, and Displays Fine Art Services for assisting with the artwork shipments to Dallas.

We also thank the many friends and volunteers who have facilitated the production of this event and insured its continued success. In particular, we recognize our wonderful friend Cindy Ferris, who again coordinated the travel plans of our many TWO x TWO guests visiting from outside of Dallas. We are also eternally grateful to our dear friend Jeff Bogert, our beloved ma?tre d’, for his poise and calm in the storm of TWO x TWO. To the many passionate friends and volunteers who make this event possible, thank you.

We would like to thank and recognize our additional in-kind sponsors whose contributions are an integral part of TWO x TWO: Calligraphic Arts, The Cultured Cup, Dakota’s, Ducky-Bob’s Event Specialists, Design Within Reach, Dude Sweet Chocolate, Empire Baking Co., Flexjet, The French Laundry, Gold Crown Valet, Hadleigh’s, Hillstone, Marguerite Steed Hoffman and Tom Lentz, The Joule Hotel, Meadowood Napa Valley, Million Air Dallas, Nancy Gonzalez, Noritaka Tatehana, Park Cities Hilton, The Peninsula Tokyo, Posh, PRO/SOUND, Rosewood Crescent Court, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, Runyon Fine Arts, Safe Art SAT, Inc., San Pellegrino/Acqua Panna, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Strong Travel Services, Suite 206, Switch Lighting, and Whitewall Magazine. Without the support of the Dallas community, this event would not be the spectacular success it is today.

And finally, a project involving an auction of this magnitude is only possible because of the support of the artists whose extraordinary contributions this year and throughout the last decade have brought unprecedented success to TWO x TWO. Their commitment to the fight against AIDS and to the development of the DMA’s Contemporary Art Program demonstrates the generosity of the human spirit and the power it can have to make significant and positive changes in our lives. We are profoundly grateful for their exceptional goodwill, which is the foundation for the success of TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art.
