Introducing our new apprenticeships programme

Labour shortages and talent scarcity have been one of the key talking points of governments and recruiters for some time now, and there definitely isn’t a quick-fix or one-size-fits-all solution to this. Our recent Talent Scarcity report discussed the factors behind the shortages.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new apprenticeships programme , designed to help solve the skills gaps across education, digital and marketing teams. These are just a few of the apprenticeship programmes across various sectors we are building as we enter the new year, so keep an eye out for further developments and opportunities.?

Randstad's apprenticeship specialists aim to help tackle skills shortages by providing employers with a fully serviced programme and access to a talent pool of willing individuals who are eager to learn and grow. With over 160,000 survey respondents rating ‘training’ as a top five employment driver, investing in apprenticeships can help attract and retain top talent.

Our end-to-end apprenticeship training programme will take the pressure off employers as our teams run the searches, complete the assessments and placing of the apprentices. We will have dedicated account managers to support employers, along with dedicated trainers to support apprentices throughout their placements and beyond.?

Be aware of phishing scams on WhatsApp

The number of phishing attacks on WhatsApp have recently increased and we are taking action to ensure your job search is not affected. Scammers are claiming to be from our organisation and asking for personal information as well as offering job opportunities. Randstad UK does not currently extend job offers through WhatsApp and will never request financial information.?

We have created a list of things to look out for to protect yourself against these scams . If you think you may have been the victim of a phishing attack using the Randstad UK identity, please visit our page which will help you report the incident .?

We were delighted to take home this prestigious award for positioning diversity and wellbeing at the core of our strategy, our involvement in the public sector response to Covid, partnering with Saracens Rugby Club Foundation and much more. We were also highly commended for the Best Marketing Campaign category for our Seeing the Possible in People marketing social media and TV campaign targeted at individuals working within construction, care, technology and education.?

Another win in the bag - Randstad UK&I lift Diversity Initiative of the Year Award at REC Awards

In a competitive category, we were pleased to accept this award for our work with TENT Partnership for Refugees to support refugee women into work through mentorship, prioritising Diversity and inclusion with our clients, our Randstad with Heart volunteering programme, Gender Pay Gap report and more. We are very proud of this achievement and are committed to ensuring diversity and inclusion remains a priority in our business.

Celebrating Primary School Teacher of the Year at Pearson’s National Teaching Awards

We were delighted to sponsor this category and celebrate Matthew King of Trinity St Peter’s for winning gold for Teacher of the Year . Matthew is an exceptional teacher who inspires and fosters creativity. It is an honour to recognise the incredible achievements of the educators in this country. Well done Matthew!
