Thank you Duo!

Thank you Duo!

After the most rewarding and fun 7.5 years of my life, it's my turn to say farewell to Duo Security.?

When I decided to set upon my search for new opportunities, the first thing I wrote on my list was "The opportunity to build something as special to my next team as Duo has been to me." It proved to be an incredibly difficult task. Being a member of the Duo Security team has given me so much pride, and becoming an alum is an honor.?

I have so many people to thank.

In my humble opinion, Dug Song and Jon Oberheide built a company that broke the mold of what work could mean to professionals. A company built upon three core values; engineering the business, learning together, and most importantly being kinder than necessary. There wasn't a day in my tenure that those values didn't permeate across the organization, and every employee took their responsibility to uphold them seriously. To all my former Duonauts who manifested these values, it brings me great joy to report that they still maintain to this day. The foundation is so strong. Thank you Dug and Jono for building this company that quickly became my home.

I want to thank the leaders that took a chance on me and changed my life forever. Tim McCarrey , Jennifer Lawrence , Dean Yeck , Jim Cyb , and Adam Clark . Everyday I'm just doing the best impression that I can of all of you. The lessons, wisdom, and impression you've made on me is truly my North Star.?

I want to thank the brilliant leaders I had a chance to work alongside for so long. Looking back it is truly incredible how talented the group was. While I certainly did my best to hold court among your ranks, I was secretly just being the best sponge to your knowledge that I could be. We may have been peers, but it's important that you all know how much I learned and how much I continue to look up to you. Brian Spoljarick , Vinh P. , Lydia Hu , Hiroki Saotome , Jeremy Riesenfeld , Anthony Igwe

I want to thank everyone I've had the opportunity to steward as a frontline leader. Especially the first team I ever assumed responsibility for,?all the way back in January 2018. The transition from peer to leader absolutely terrified me, and I owe my entire career to the first team for giving me a chance and learning with me. To everyone I've had the opportunity to coach, watching your careers makes me so happy and you make me so proud. I learned so much from you all and truly cherish the relationships that we've built.?

I want to thank the ADRs, SEs, Sales Ops, Partner team and everyone else who worked tirelessly to make sure the AEs were in position to succeed. I've never been a member?of a more talented team, and the impact you all made on the business cannot be overstated. To the leaders and members of those teams, thank you so much.

Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't thank the greatest competitor I've ever known from?my?AE days. To quote the Harry Potter books, he was 'the only one I ever feared.' A day at work didn't start until I looked at the dashboard to see where you were at, and I was constantly pushed to stick with you and give my?best effort. FGS Brian Biggs

After spending a lot of time talking about the past, I wanted to make sure and address what lies ahead for the amazing team at Duo. I leave behind the most talented, hungriest group of sales professionals in the world. Duo is a world class organization to build your career, and so many great people are going to go so far. I can't wait to be your most embarrassing cheerleader. To the leaders I had the joy of my professional career to bring on and watch grow, I couldn't be more proud of the work you've done and the runway ahead. Randi Schaefer , Ted Stockton-Smith , Kaitlyn Underwood , Dave DeBoer , Maddie Webb //O

To all the friends who haven't been tagged that were a part of this, we truly were a part of something bigger than all of us. The memories we made daily, or in wine country, Austin, Miami, Churchill Downs, Las Vegas and everywhere in between will be in my heart forever. From personal and professional highs and lows, it's always been my extended family and my home base. To say Duo meant a lot to me would be downplaying the impact. It meant *everything* to me.?

If you're still reading this there's a very good chance you played a huge role in my Duo experience. Thank you. I wear my Duo experience and my logo-wear as a badge of honor. The existing team is so bright and talented and the alumni network is doing incredible things. Once again, I'm Lt. Gordon putting up the Bat Signal for Duo Past & Present to stay close and continue to look after one another.?
