Thank-You

 As a founder of a small business and people advisory firm, I am regularly asked two questions more than any others. “What made you do it?” and “Would you do it again?” .

As Curve Group marks its 10th year in service and we ready ourselves for our final Supernova 2018 event next Tuesday, I am conscious that these questions are more relevant to me now than ever before.

 I started this journey with a belief that the work we do, and the way in which we do it were equally important. Work-life balance, entrepreneurial adventure, and the ability to navigate your own success were the drivers when I started. The question of whether I’d do it again, or do anything differently is answered easily when I reflect on two important outcomes of this journey so far.

 Firstly, I have learnt so much. The breadth of experience and insight I have gained from having worked with so many clients,  (300+ clients and hundreds of projects in Australia, Asia and globally) has help me grow as a professional and continue to challenge the status quo.

 Secondly, I have also formed such valuable relationships and friendships along the way. These relationships start with all the brilliant colleagues at Curve Group, past or present, whom have all played a part in shaping my journey. They are rounded out by the support I have in being part of a wider community of professionals, clients or otherwise, whom I believe share one key attribute, we are all ‘people-helpers’.

 The road ahead is exciting, personally and professionally, and I remain as energised and committed as when I started. I am immensely grateful to all the clients, colleagues and friends that I have met and found inspiration and support from along the way. Know that in our interactions, be they intentional or not, you have ‘people-helped’ me develop and contribute to my chosen field.
