Thank you, Bloomberg & Engine!

To my colleagues, partners and friends,

I want to personally let you know that I have accepted the role of COO at Engine.

Leaving Bloomberg was not a decision I made lightly. Most of you know that it is almost five years since I joined the organization and together we embarked on a transformation that has positioned Bloomberg Media as one of the most innovative, progressive and inventive places to work within the industry. I am incredibly proud of that fact and all those with whom I have worked with along the way.

Today, I leave knowing it is in a position of great strength. Bloomberg Media is coming off of its best year ever and is sustaining this incredible momentum into 2019. I want thank you all for being part of that journey as we launched brands like TicToc and discovered new ways to dynamically display our partnerships in traditional platforms and new. None of this would have been possible without the leadership and vision of Justin Smith.

I also want to thank Bloomberg for making Philanthropy a central tenant of my life and that of the Media team. Joining the board of New York Cares and seeing the impact Bloomberg Philanthropy can have in improving the world is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Echoing both my decision to join Bloomberg in 2014 and WIRED in 2008, I chose to join Engine because I am excited about its potential within the industry at-large. It employs nearly 2,000 individuals globally, spanning strategy and creative and providing a transparent, programmatic marketplace via EMX. With 7 patents issued and 8 more pending, Engine is positioned nicely to take advantage of the emerging sentiment surrounding trust and transparency within the digital ecosystem.

To my colleagues at Bloomberg: Thank you. Thank you for all of your hard work. Thank you for believing as we “invented” our way forward. And, thank you trusting the organization’s continuous evolution – regardless of your team or division.

To partners within the industry: Thank you. Thank you for believing in Bloomberg when we continued to forge new paths and experiment with new offerings to ensure your return on investment.

To friends within the industry: Thank you. Thank you for recognizing Bloomberg's understanding that this is a pivotal and exciting time in media.

To Justin Smith: Thank you. Thank you for believing in me and providing me with the opportunity to continuously grow under your guidance and direction.

And, to MRB: Thank you. Please reconsider running in 2020!

Sincerely,

Keith
