To the hundreds of Family, Friends, Colleagues and Acquaintances who Emailed, Texted, Called, Private messaged, Facebooked, Linkedin, Istagramed and Video messaged amazing birthday wishes I am deeply touched.

As we go through the aging process we look back to those good old days when a beautiful strong, capable mind and body we had taken for granted has past. We try to cling to the little slivers that still exist. Your life goes from Mom and Dad taking care of you to becoming an independent adult and then to depending on your children. It has moments of great joy, sadness and then trying to find the lessons.

Some of the lessons taught to me are … it is in the giving not receiving … it is in the forgiving not holding a grudge … it is in the realization that I don’t know everything and if I just listened to others I can learn. That stuff and money is great; but without Love they are meaningless. The lessons taught me in great success humility must exist there too … in great loss humility must be there as well. That there is DANGER … in anger. Remember when you are moved to anger to place the “D” in front of it.

I have learned that the true beauty is in the person you have become as aging process works … through the trials of life we grow up and hopefully wisdom and reflection move in. The relationships we form, the friendships we share and person we chose to journey life with are the key. I try to still look for the best in everything and not be cynical about growing old. You all made me so aware of how extraordinary life can be yesterday … I am eternally grateful to each and every one of you!!
