Thank You for being part of our journey

Thank You for being part of our journey

At ICF Converge 2021, an annual global event for coaching, one of the opening questions was:

What is the best thing that could happen to you next year?

There were many responses starting with gratitude. As we wrap up the year 2021, we are grateful we have come so far. Despite all the challenges that we have faced over the last one year, and earlier, pandemic or otherwise, #gratitude is at the top of the mind. It is a blessing to tap into that consciousness.

Many friends, when asked, "how are things?", a common response is "so far so good"!

And I invariably respond with "Not just so far... it will get better only now".

The mind is naturally filled with fear of yet another wave, of the pandemic, all the collateral damage thereof at all levels, and other man-made disasters!

Hence, the need to look at the possibilities, beyond the fear?

How? Master's Voice: 'Converse with God who is in you, and derive courage and consolation from Him. He is the Guru most interested in your progress. Do not seek the Guru outside you, in hermitages or holy places. The God in you is father, mother, preceptor, and friend. God is Love; live in Love' (this from my facebook memories, 31 Dec 2017).

This quote speaks to me with more clarity now! The monkey mind seem to be more receptive! And the world need a liberal dose of that spiritual love. Even as the world is struggling with the direct and indirect impacts of the pandemic, politicians are fishing in the troubled waters! Not just at local levels, but globally too. How myopic! Should we not be working on ways and means to come out of the pandemic with minimum damage? Eradicate poverty and hunger?

What is the excuse?

Collective consciousness is not ready for affirmative action.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,?

it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness,?

it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity,?

it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness,?

it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.?

- Charles Dickens

Going back to the earlier question, What is the best thing that could happen to you next year? One of the guest speakers said,

"to stay alive"

Of course, I am sure the speaker at ICF Converge meant, to stay alive at all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Still better, to live to full potential.

May 2022 be your best year!

Happy new year 2022!
