Dear friends, colleagues and network,

February 28 was my last day for #CMACGM.

A very hard decision to make as I remain strongly committed to this group.

These 26 years have been incredibly intense and passionate.

Imagine. On January 20, 1997, I began my professional career in a Marseille company that very few people knew. We were only 350 people working for the Compagnie Maritime d’Affrêtement…

26 years later, this medium-sized company, still anchored in Marseille, has become a group of 160,000 employees, posting for 2022 the highest profit ever made by a French company!

During all these years I had the opportunity to participate in amazing projects; the building of the 23K LNG-powered flagships of the group, followed by the 15K series; I will never forget the work accomplished with the CMA Ships teams of course, but also with those of #GTT.

Then the negotiation of the first supply contracts in Rotterdam and Fos with #TotalEnergies, incredible memories!

And in Singapore with #SHELL, and teams from #EasternPacificShipping Pte. Ltd., #FuelNg and again GTT.

Bringing the fleet into compliance with the IMO2020 regulations and the start of decarbonization projects...

All these subjects were unknown fields to me.

Thanks to you, colleagues and managers, partners and suppliers, I learned so much!

I also had the honor of working with people who made a huge impression on me, including Farid T. Salem, a great gentleman, for whom I have a very deep admiration.

I have learned from these 26 years that by being open-minded, curious, hard-working, demanding, and benevolent, anything is possible… in a nutshell, all the values which are the success factors of CMA CGM.

I take these values with me, as well as the pleasure of having shared so much by your side.

I am also extremely proud to have been part of this Group, and to have witnessed its extraordinary growth.

For all this, I send you a sincere thank you, full of emotion.

And it is on the strength of these experiences that I am embarking on a new adventure by creating ‘Green Craft Marine’, to build wooden & electric-powered yachts.

A big and beautiful personal and professional challenge, which I am going to take up with young craftsmen (artists in reality) marine carpenters, by investing in their shipyard to give us the means of our ambitions.

A challenge that will really take shape next fall when we launch our first unit. Of course, I will keep you updated of the progress of this project, but I already invite you to dream a little while looking at what my new game partners are doing. It's magic!!!
