Thank you to all of our wonderful police staff

We have thoroughly enjoyed making this past week one about police staff. It has been a joy to celebrate and raise awareness about the pivotal contribution that they make to the policing mission. #CelebratingPoliceStaff.

Of course, this isn’t something that just operates within a single week of the year. We’re committed to recognising the vitally important work undertaken by every single person who works in policing throughout the entire year.

To that end, we have published on our website a new section dedicated to police staff, encompassing case studies from every colleague who graciously took the time to tell us their stories. This microsite is now live. We’d encourage you all to take the time to visit the site, read the stories there, and take a moment to appreciate the important work that police staff do every single day.

Today marks the end of the Police Staff Week of Celebration and Recognition. It is our hope that this week is something we emulate in the future. Such awareness raising campaigns drive forward ambition for greater police staff representation across all roles and areas in policing.
