Thank you to all HEROES !!!

Coming from Indonesian background, we are familiar of the term "Pahlawan Tanpa Tanda Jasa" (aka: Unsung Hero).

Dictionaries define "hero" is 'a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities'. While "unsung" define 'not celebrated or praised'. Then we learned that Unsung Hero could easily means a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities which most of the time not celebrated nor praised or even acknowledged.

That what our teachers did for us, they are courageously stand tall to teach us how to read and write, opening our eyes to wonderful world of knowledge, introduce us to books that change our lives; they work tirelessly to make sure the students understand and achieve their Greatness; show exemplary noble qualities as significant role models for their students; working hard day and night to prepare us for the future. Leaving mark of excellence and fingerprints of Greatness in all of us.

Yet, most of their work not really celebrated, praised, or even acknowledged.

They are the one who have the faith and courage and willingness to sacrifice themselves without even thinking of getting any recognition.

Yes, they are our teachers, principal, and the education worker whom we are indebted our live to.

I received letter of appointment yesterday from our children school Chairperson confirming my role as a Member of the College Council (Director). And at the same time; both of our children receive Awards from the school; Academic Excellence Award for Daniel and High Achievement Award for Darren.

Yes, we are very proud as parents who have children with these achievements, but I also realise that they cannot achieve these without wonderful support of the Heroes of the school; their classroom teachers Kayla Russell and Danielle Staltari; Mrs. Julie Hancock and Mr. Shane Dowling; Deputy Principal - Mr. Darren Pitt and Principal - Ms Leanne Carr as well as the rest the school educator. They are the Heroes who deserve the acknowledgement, praised, and celebrated; they are some of the Unsung Heroes of our life.

As new appointed Member of the College Council, I am privilege and honoured to serve alongside of our Heroes; bringing the best of my background, qualifications, and experience to add considerable value to the college; to be the best supporter of our heroes.

• I will be courageous to be the best supporter of our heroes,
• I will work tirelessly to invest my time and resources to support your wonderful works,
• I will teach and always remind our children to respect and honour all of you,
• I will be role model to champion you Heroes in your outstanding achievements,
• I will acknowledge, praise, and celebrate your excellence in your work for our children.
