What is a conscious and curiosity conversation look like and mean to you?
We all communicate. Whether it is verbal, texting, writing or non-verbal.
Some times it is easy and other times not so much.
This newsletter and this conversation was inspired by this very video and by these amazing people here at?Bringing Humanity Together
What is a purpose of a conversation?
What does curiosity mean?
How can you take a stance of curiosity?
Why is it hard to take a stance of curiosity?
What happens that prevents you from taking a stance of curiosity?
Here is Julia Dhar's Ted X Video

Julia made 3 points
1) Choose curiosity over clash
2) See conversation as a climbing
wall (changing perspectives)
3) Common purpose
This is what?Justine Beauregard ?shared with me
1. Committing to learn for 10 minutes a day builds our "curiosity" muscle. It allows us to challenge what we do and explore new perspectives and thoughts often.
2. Conversation is better than communication. If you're really good at conversation, people remember you and the pay more attention to you. This makes you a better communicator by default and more magnetic, which is great for building impact and income!
3. Great leaders know how to hold a conversation and prioritize curiosity. They are humble enough to know that they don't know a lot and open to listening to others' ideas and points of view without an agenda. They're the true visionaries of our generation - and the best part is, you can decide to be one whenever you like!
This is what?Dalice Rose-McSeveney ???? ?has shared with me
Love this video, Chris Berryman. I'm a curious conservationist. It's the best way to build rapport quickly & to encourage others to open up. This technique works exceptionally well when defining the best way forward for a problem. The common purpose starts with understanding what problem are we trying to solve. Once that is known we can explore opportunities to solve it. In my experience it helps to have one or two big picture/quick idea thinkers in the group to get the ideas flowing, some people work better responding to ideas & saying what won't work instead of starting from a blank canvas. Whenever I hear a challenge or opposing view I listen as in there is normally a nugget of gold. Nuggets of gold help you achieve your goal.
Be on the lookout very, very soon that we will take a deeper dive into this great and engaging conversation. A event is upcoming very soon from us here at?Bringing Humanity Together? ????????????

1 年I am so happy it went well. I support what you are doing wholeheartedly Chris Berryman. My work schedule makes it difficult to attend some on the live shows and zooms that matter to me on LI. You have my support and if there is anything you feel that I may help with please reach out. I especially like how you listed the 3 points that Julia made. They are valuable insights and with time always being a contraint for so many, it allows the message to get through quickly and powerfully.
