THANK YOU: Air Canada and The Air Canada Foundation
Crafting For a Cure
Ensuring all children are having a positive experience when a hospital visit is necessary!
We are deeply humbled when a corporate partner steps forward to support our mission. During the holiday season—and throughout the entire year—we invite companies to engage in team-building activities by helping to assemble craft kits for children in hospitals. These efforts not only bring joy to the kids but also help us fundraise and offset the costs of crafting materials and shipping.
?It’s with great joy that I share the stories of the companies that have chosen to give back. Today, I want to highlight a partner that has been nothing short of incredible in their support of Crafting for a Cure - Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation.?
?For over 10 years, Crafting for a Cure has been fortunate to be a recipient of their kindness. However, this past year has taken our partnership to a new level. Most recently, Crafting for a Cure met with the Air Canada team in Montreal to assemble craft kits. In December, they helped create nearly 1,000 kits. These kits were critical to ensuring that numerous children in hospitals received the crafts during a challenging time.
?With the Canada Post strike, we were unable to ship our products and were only able to deliver in person where possible. Thanks to the incredible support of Air Canada, even the most remote hospitals—such as those in Nunavut, Yellowknife, and Whitehorse—received the kits they so desperately needed. Now, with the strike over, the remaining hospitals will receive their deliveries in January. After all, children in hospitals need smiles year-round, not just during the holiday season.
?Throughout the year, Air Canada has created more than 3,000 kits and has helped deliver to over 30 hospitals across the country. But it’s not just about what they do during team-building sessions. Their staff have become integral to our core volunteer team. Some lead hospital visits to craft with the children, others drop off kits directly at hospitals, and many more continuously ask, “How can we do more?” They eagerly look forward to every opportunity to lend a hand. The most remarkable thing about Air Canada and The Air Canada Foundation is that they never seek recognition. They give because they believe in making a difference, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.

?As you prepare for your next Air Canada flight, I ask that you remember there are many things beyond the control of our front-line workers. Be kind, and take a moment to thank them—for while they may rarely share the full extent of their charitable efforts, they are truly making a difference in the lives of many.
?We look forward to continuing our partnership with Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation to help?spread many more smiles to children in hospitals.
