THANK YOU 2024

THANK YOU 2024

At the time of writing this, Palestine is still being slaughtered, Lebanon has been attacked closed to 2 months now and Trump won the election?(Either dem or rep wins, the policy towards Middle East likely to stay. As to Norman Filkenstein, Trump would build from Biden Harris legacy) Strange moment, (we thought COVID was) and the feeling is peculiar. We were disillusioned with freedom of speech, but what the world needs now, the audacity to act. Thanks to diplomatic Qatar and resisting from afar, Yaman.

"Nothing is their fault", Noam Chomsky. On Palestine.

In my faith, action matters as human being not in charge of the overall outcome. I'll be judged based on what I did little about what I preached. This sounds familiar right? You'd probably find this concept in corporate leadership seminars, but this has been understood as human limitations. This is exactly what I've been trying to do, as much, for my team of two. May they be practicing the same or even better when their time come to become one.

We despise to be treated unfairly by people in power. Being 17-18 years of working, I cannot say this is unique situations. Either I experienced it or recollecting from colleagues, this is rather part & parcel serving big organization. Yet, people maneuver and grow mature with this situation. "We made humans immerse in toil and labour", that is the reality painted in Quran. Face it with open heart. Life can be hard, but one must be harder and stronger, each day. For every specific difficulty, coupled with eases.

As a team we have the opportunities to do something new e.g. CO2 & H2 for a greater purpose than just dollar and cent. We started with limited knowledge and wide gaps in skill. Sitting in a quorum full of experts is really exciting. After all, being the smartest in the room is so boring and lonely because it never adds up and not rejoicing.

Going down the path of learning, there can only be one way to excel, grit. Learn by reading, learn by writing, learn by discussing and learn by doing, doing a lot. You'd feel the difference. Remember, every difficulty come ease?

Seth Godin in Linchpin. Job that can be an art a next level of craft.

Having a team that has strong drive to deliver, one shall not waste. Supportive superiors and driven team members are the reason we wake up every day to work. Regardless how small the work others would perceive; we add meaning to the works for those who concern. The more we do, the better we be. After all, we are not reporting to everyone except those who concern.

It's such a fulfilling journey understanding the words of God. It gives reality check on what matters in life and what is not. Particularly short surahs in Juz 30, they had been revealed with full context and account of the Prophet pbuh. One of the concepts, Allah introduced to Prophet pbuh when the pressure from Quraysh were mounting, is to recount blessings that led him becoming prophet and future success He promised. (Refer ad-Dhuha and al-Kauthar). This concept has been practiced, time and time again by nation, corporate, and successful individuals. Looking back how far we have come as a nation, organization or even a person and together we scale the challenge towards future successes.

While navigating the life journey, one must be able to prioritize what's important, i.e. what weighs heavy on His scale and giving meanings to what we do. We live by borrowed times. Regardless how rich one can be, time that has passed would not be able to be recovered. Even with mountain of fortunes. In fact, the time is loaned to us. As minimum, we shall not fall into losses while serving the loan. (Refer at-Takaathur and al-Asr).

Resilience, grit, courage, gratitude and future success probably the themes for 2024. All these values lie on a nation who struggles to achieve freedom. They paid with sweat, blood and soul while the world leaders have been 400+ days dumbfounded not knowing what to do.

May 2025 be the year full of blessings.
