Thank God for the coaches!

I have discovered the concept of external coaching in 2006.

 I wish I had been exposed to it much earlier.

 I have an immense respect for the coaches with whom I work.

 Together, we have provided employees with the best possible framework for their own tailor-made success stories.

 First of all, I have experienced it first hand during my first professional HR transition.

 I have kept very fond memories of this experience of self-discovery and of co-creation of an HR agenda.

 My first coach was very challenging on me and this is exactly what I needed at that time. I thank her for her rigour and for the discipline she imposed on me. 

 After this positive experience, I started using it myself for my colleagues, especially for new General Managers in transition.

 Every time, I got involved but with the distance and the respect of confidentiality that was required. 

 Every time, I have seen blossoming in front of my eyes beautiful human beings, beautiful leadership styles.

 I must admit it. It is a very rewarding experience to see your colleagues growing in front of you, increasing their confidence and realising their potential.

 I believe that there is a true business case for high quality coaching. 

 It is an investment that pays off and directly supports the business.

 By helping an executive to be successful faster, by speeding up the trust among his/her direct reports, by building up effective teams right from the scratch,

 High quality coaching can help you to  accelerate the learning curve of a leader and in this process you can sustain him/ her while his/her authority is not yet fully established.

 When the cocoon becomes a butterfly, the employee needs a little bit of mentoring to feel at ease in the giant blue sky, the one that seems so high.

 Today, I wanted to honour and thank all the coaches I have worked with for ten years.

 I look forward to seeing the unique leadership styles we will see blossoming in the next few years.

I recognize myself in the "first coach" and I am so grateful this paved the way for personal growth and increased professionalism! Thank you Vanessa! And to realize this was 10 years ago...
