TGIF - Write your own story

At the start of this year I made a resolution to make this a learning year and I cannot believe how much I have enjoyed it. So this week I have started reflecting on what I have learnt and how I can start to put this into action.

This week I am TRUSTING in the concept of life long learning as a way to be the best I can be. I am making it a practice of leaving RAE (Rank, Authority and Ego) at the door when I am in the workplace. Not only has this been liberating, it has also made space for me to learn more and allowed others to shine.

I am GRATEFUL for the trust people have placed in me this week. I have worked with some amazing people who are leaning into their own stories and are writing their next chapter rather than leaving it for someone else to write. I always consider it an honor to be trusted with others stories.

I am INSPIRED by the "Now Is Your Time" ladies (Donna and Cheryl). They created space for me this week and supported me to start to write my next chapter. They have the ability to make me laugh, feel energised and make this whole self reflection thing fun as opposed to hard work. Thank you ladies you are an inspiration to me.

For FUN I am going to curl up on the couch this weekend and binge on Netflix - I know not very inspiring - but the rain is coming down and the brain cells require a rest. At times it is the little things that give you the energy to start again.

What ever you are doing don't forget to trust, be grateful, be inspired and have some fun. #TGIFpractice

Michelle, I love what you have said. It is so inspiring. During my life, I have at times had suggestions from friends and family to write my story. My life has been a huge book that everyone has probably read anyway. It has been sad, interesting, rewarding and many times challenging. I came to this country as a twelve year old girl. My mother placed myself and my three brothers into the care of Fairbridge Farm School in Pinjarra, Perth WA. I would love to touch base with you, I e always wanted to do this, I love reading and English and have tutored students with intellectual learning disabilities. What a wonderful sense These lovely people have and so eager to learn. Please get in touch with me if we can talk further. Well done you! Mim Linardi

For fun this weekend (a long one for me) I am cooking. Life long learning, big fan of that and a big fan of writing ones own story.

Michele Reading love this Michele!! Thank you for showing everyone that self reflection and learning can be fun! Sometimes we can be scared - we are worried what is going to come up for us... But when we look at it through a lens of fun and adventure, we can get excited about it. So glad to be part of your journey. The next chapter is going to be a page turner ????????

Thanks,Michele for a very well written article.
