TGIF - I Found My Tribe

I have waited for this week for so long and it definitely did not disappoint. My #TGIFpractice this week will explain it all.

I am THANKFUL for the opportunity my work gave to myself and two other colleagues to go to see Dr Brené Brown in Melbourne this week. We are currently going through a cultural change program that has us looking at our leadership styles and how we can build a more caring, compassionate and committed culture. The work that Brené does compliments the other work we are already doing and has given us some great ideas to take back.

I am GRATEFUL I got to meet a fellow Dare to Lead trainee who will be with me in San Antonio when we do the the Dare to Lead Facilitation course with Brené. We had only ever met over emails and texts but felt a connection from the moment we met. #mytribe

I continue to be INSPIRED by the energy, compassion and courage that Brené brings to everything she does and says. This session was about how we build cultures where we dare to lead with courage, compassion and connection. The video I have attached represents her authenticity and relevance for me - not to mention that I might have done this to David once or twice.

For FUN this week I just wanted share with you my favourite song - Shut Up and Dance - who would have thought I would get to dance and sing to this at the conference. That was when it hit me, surrounded by 4,000 other people (well maybe 3800 because the other 200 were too shy) dancing, laughing and singing along with Brené. This is who we are, this is how we can be - connected, caring and courageous enough to let you see us. #mytribe

I hope your week has filled you with as much inspiration, joy, love and connection I have felt this week.
