TGIF 7/1/2022 - Edition 56

Hard to believe it is July 1 and we have started another fiscal year at Microsoft. I am always excited at this time of year as we get to celebrate the accomplishments from the past fiscal year and turn the page to continuing to drive success with our partners and customers, all while learning new things along the way.

I wanted to share with my community that I will be taking a sabbatical Aug 1 to Sep 30. I am grateful and fortunate to work at a company that provides this opportunity to employees. When being awarded this 1 1/2 years ago, it didn't make sense to take it during the peak of the pandemic. Fortunately, these awards don't expire and I was able to coordinate with my leadership team to take this in Q1. I am still planning to write these TGIF newsletters to share my journey and post a few pictures of things I am doing along the way which include a Disney cruise ???, college football game in Atlanta ?? (Go Ducks) and other fun trips during my time off. For those who have taken a sabbatical what tips do you have for me?
