TFIF Solved! Our year in review
Wow, what a roller coaster year it has been for business. While we could talk for days about the extreme highs and lows we’ve all experienced recently, here at Friday Solved, we always prefer to focus on the positive, especially as we approach the weekend! ??
That’s why we’d like to wrap up the year on a high note, celebrating how far we’ve come as a business in such a short time.?
Make no mistake, though. This isn’t all about us. It’s about those who made this all possible: our clients. The savvy go-getters who recognise that building scalable, sustainable and predictable sales engines is the key to consistent and realistic growth. As well as adopting our Don’t Sell philosophy.?
Come on inside our world and discover what the real sales solvers are actually doing to achieve that all-important sales success year-long for clients:
We’re growing fast ??
Things were getting pretty busy in here! We more than doubled our headcount in 2023. While we started with humble but happy beginnings, our lovely clients kept us busy.?
Here’s a quick roll-call for our sales solvers:?
Dan - Lead content consultant and legendary wordsmith, increasing clients' authority and raising awareness of their services.?
Sean - The self-proclaimed dark overlord of successful and precise demand generation and reach.?
JB - Lead proposition and positioning strategy consultant and branding guru to get your market fit just right.?
Shannon - Content extraordinaire, branding queen and champion of our cultural consciousness.?
Alice - Copywriter, content consultant and ops obsessive: always innovating our business policies.?
Jeyda - Demand-gen wizard and top creative cookie. She’s the magic behind many an inbox.?
Jim - Seasoned sales sage in big tech who brings years of experience and sales savvy.
I can’t tell you how proud of the team we’re building. Especially as we’ve not been workeing together that long.
We’ve managed to found a team of thoughtful, passionate and empathetic people who genuinely love working together.?
More so, our culture drives the belief that sales is everyone’s opportunity. That’s because we realise that when everyone understands the sales process and its importance, there is greater alignment in how demand is generated, nurtured, and closed, leading to higher conversion rates - and of course business growth. Consequently, our clients are great at keeping us really busy, so we still have big plans for 2024!?
We love a good, goofy, gif-enthusiastic person who loves sales as much as we do, so who knows, maybe that person could be you? We’ll be opening up positions as they become available in the new year, so if you think you’d enjoy working with us, keep your eyes peeled!?

We’re all fired up ??
You heard us right! While most are ready to dive into a plate of cheese and mince pies, we’re just getting revved up to keep delivering smoking-hot work (and results). Our focus on next year all started this November when we got all these sharp minds together for a fantastically productive couple of days in the picturesque setting of Windsor!
These days away gave us a valuable chance to bond as a fully remote team and work on clarifying our 2024 strategy that packs a punch for our mission, vision and values alongside undertaking some team-building activities (having a pint or two), an experience that has only made us stronger and got us fired up for the year ahead. Sorry, no spoilers there just yet!?
We’re changing the way our clients are tackling sales and going to market, and the proof is really in the pudding. For instance, we’ve driven sales change for over 30 clients over this last year, repositioning more businesses than we could have hoped, devising unique sales strategies for our entire client base, producing 250 pieces of content for ourselves and 1000s of pieces for our clients, not to mention a staggering amount of client qualified conversations in our client's pipelines. We’ve even onboarded 2 new clients in the last week, so they're ready to drive sales hard at the turn of the new year.
We know what matters ??
While away in Windsor, we planted the seeds of what defines our culture: A steady focus on well-being, mental health initiatives and complete transparency. As well as strengthen all of our hunger for sales.
Without getting too deep, all of the wonderful humans at Friday Solved simply want the best for each other and our clients, which shows. Led by the wider team and championed by our Founder, our natural people-first prioritisation culture achieves that in one fell swoop, providing everyone with the support, autonomy and goodies they need to thrive and drive sales results.?
More so, our culture is one of always optimising, refining, and never settling for less than the best result. We’re always doing the right thing, and while we know done is better than perfect, it gives you a place to optimise from - because we’re still never satisfied with the end answer.?
Yet, despite being such a remote team, we always support each other with unwavering care. Don’t get us wrong; we can and often do work independently, but it’s that focus on creation and collaboration that underpins what we do so well.?
Better ways of working?
Take, for instance, our lead consultant, Dan Beardshall. After experiencing mental health challenges at the beginning of the year; we were able to support Dan in prioritising his health with a period of time off that recognised that mental health isn’t a straight line. This really gave Dan the headspace he needed to take active rest, rejuvenate and return to work when it worked for him, not us.?
It doesn’t end there, though, because we're operationally doing things differently. As a fairly new company, we know we have the opportunity to do something big here. To be game changers. To maybe even make a difference in the world of work for other people outside of our organisation. You know, setting an example by actively not repeating the same old ways of working by:
We’re always moving forward ??
We’ve been very busy bees in this foundational year of business. We delivered our own strategy for growth around Proof of Concept, Pilot, and Scale, enabling us to manage our growth at every level of the business.?
Not only have we launched new products, but we’ve also not settled for our existing ones. Instead, we optimised and iterated current versions alongside our core frameworks for maximum scalability, predictability and sustainability.?
We’re also constantly evolving our working methods as a small consultancy. One of which has led us to adopt Notion for our task and project management. While it’s still early days, we’re excited about what we can and will do as we move into the next phase of our operational success.??
Last but not least is the much-anticipated arrival of our book, “Don’t Sell.” After two years of development and optimisation, we’re happy with the product, and we’re ready to let you get your hands on it in January! Pick up your copy in the new year to discover the sales methodology taking the industry by storm.?
Wrapping up ??
Thanks for celebrating and wrapping up this year with us! While this one has been tough in so many ways, we are focused on driving business in what we hope will be a successful new year for everyone.?
Once again, from everyone at the Friday Solved team: We wish you a wonderful Christmas and an even better new year.?
