TFI Friday.

Anyone who recognises that phrase must be around my age or older.

I was in my twenties when that show was on - I remember that ‘Friday Feeling’ - being young, getting ready for a night out with friends whilst laughing along to Chris Evans chatting in the background.

There’s something special about that Friday feeling right?

What is it?

It’s not because it’s a day beginning with F that creates an alliteration with ‘Feeling’ - no - it actually has nothing to do with the ‘day’ at all.

The only thing that’s different on a Friday - is YOU.

YOU feel happier, expectant of relaxation/adventure/fun/spending time doing what you love, whatever that is for you.

When you compare that with that ‘Monday Morning’ feeling…. Even reading those two words, I suspect lead you to feeling less joyous.?

It’s not the day you see - it’s YOU.?

And your perspective.

I lived in Sydney, Australia for three years from 2002 to 2005 and I remember everyone seeming happy. I put it down to having blue skies above every day of the year.

Except I was under the same blue sky, and I wasn’t happy most of the time.

Why?

Because everywhere you go, you always take the weather… and the ‘day’...with you.

The way your day goes is down to YOU and how you felt when the day started.

The way your work goes is down to YOU and how you feel about your everyday life.

The way your relationships go is down to YOU and how you feel about yourself and what you deserve.

It’s all YOU.

So leave Mondays and the colour of the sky alone and stop giving them so much power over how you feel.

Instead, why don’t you decide to go after the kind of day you really want….? the kind of every day you really want… the type of business you really want… the kind of relationships you really want… the type of LIFE you really want.

Because I promise you - when you do, every day is a TFI Friday day.?
