LPGA: Appoints Samantha Simmons as its new chief people and internal operations officer and will lead the LPGA’s Talent, Culture and Facilities teams, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, talent management, compensation, leadership development and retention initiatives. Simmons’ previous role was as senior vice president of people and culture at Spurs Sports & Entertainment. ... World’s Longest Putt: Second World’s Longest Putt competition will be held on Sept. 22 at The Baths of Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wisconsin. Six finalists will compete over four rounds of putting at distances ranging from 50 to 200 feet. Competitors will also have a shot to break the Guinness World Record Longest Putt and a chance at winning $1 million. More than 10,000 golfers competed in a WLP Qualifying Event in 2024.?
