Texting higher in lower income populations

Text messaging is 2-4 times higher in lower income populations with a 99% open rate.  Other groups that text at higher-than-average rates are: non-whites (African Americans in particular), lower education levels, and smartphone owners.  And while every age group texts including 50-64 and 65+, young adults (18-29) send and receive the most texts on a daily basis.  How are you using this effective communication method to engage your members, patients or customers?
