Effective January 1, 2016, licensed Texans will be able to open carry their handguns in both belts or shoulder holsters. A new notice has been released restricting open carry of handguns on premises. Additionally, verbiage for the concealed carry notice has been changed and must be updated to restrict concealed carry of handguns on premises. Texas Businesses who wish to restrict concealed and/or openly carried handguns on their premises must post these new notices.  

30.06 Restricts Concealed Carry on premises

30.07 Restricts Open Carry on premises 

The 30.07 posting and laws are new and begin on January 1, 2016. The 30.06 posting has been updated with modified verbiage which must be used beginning January 1, 2016.
