Testing times during Corona

Testing times during Corona

What a day to write a blog today (22nd March) - Janta Curfew is being implemented with 100% dedication by all Indian Citizens and we are doing our part spending quality time with family at home but with proper precaution. When it all started in China in month of december lot of us thought the disease will be restricted to China and we will not be affected and lo behold within 3 months entire world is now affected by it and every government is putting maximum efforts to safeguard their citizens from this epidemic. With no proper cure in sight, prevention (social distancing) is the only solution as of now. Hence the Lockdown (partial as of now)! It would have been great if government could take some more steps for better clarity and control of situation as mentioned below:-

  • Lockdown should be implemented all across the nation strictly and not district/statewise. We all know the disease has not originated from our nation but it has originated from some other country so it has mostly transmitted from international flyers to our nation. So currently it is being observed that only some districts in different states have been ordered lockdown. The total lockdown in one go can help as mentioned below:-
First of all it is creating confusion on daily basis what is happening? What is allowed and what is not allowed? Partial lockdown has led to confusion where people are still travelling and not taking so much precaution One single order for entire nations lockdown even for 2 weeks will be helpful in long run rather than partial lockdowns for longer period.
Stricter Complete Lockdown (apart from essential services) will be helpful in controlling the community spreading of disease and save energy and resources especially of Health care community which is working with full dedication to save peoples lives.
Complete lockdown will help in faster recovery to normalcy.
  • All the due dates such as personal or corporate both- tax compliance/liability, financial obligations like EMI, Insurance, Mediclaim, LC due dates, expiry dates of contracts especially insurance etc, government orders delivery due date etc could have been extended by 25 days (by one single order from Central an state govt) if 15 days total lockdown could have been implemented. Why 25 days?
Without proper clarification after couple of months when all this subsides govt officials, banks etc are going to penalise individual or corporates without ones fault incase of any delay in compliance or incase of unable to fullfill financial liability. Right now all duty to fullfill all financial obligations lies with an individual or corporate. And there is no answer how it can be done during lockdown.
When the business do restart after 15-20 days of total lockdown it will take atleast 10-12 days to reach the optimum level to meet financial commitments.
During lockdown all workers and staff would have gone to their native place to be with their family at home. So when lockdown is over it will take some time before they can rejoin.
For continuous production manufacturing processes also it is going to take some time before regular production can be started. Once the production is started , the despatches will start and cashflow will improve.
  • During lockdown companies should be allowed to work to the extent that they can provide salary to workers and staff without which the lower and middle class family will not sustain.
  • Health and safety dept should allow the companies to work once things are under control when they themselves check each industry about hygiene and the safety measures and also if workers and staff have been trained about the basic care to be taken for future contagious diseases. A certificate with rating should be provided to each industry based on the audit conducted by health and safety dept.
  • As soon as the vaccine is developed govt should provide it free of cost to atleast worker class of population.

Hope all ends soon with positive outcome and minimal loss.

Stay Safe, Stay Sanitised and Stay Healthy.
