Testing Positive For Microbial
Lets get something straight. The majority of positive tests come from a lack of 2 things. The fundamentals in farming. And the basics in greenhouse operation. Colorado is in its own micro climate thats well suited for summer style greenhouses with evaporative cooling systems but not everyone joining the ranks have the same handicap. If a greenhouse in a hot humid place is abandoned take that as a hint. For the rest of the community the fundamentals in farming are crucial to your success. Indoor growing unfortunately is not a certificate in farming fundamentals either. It does give you some insight on what to do inside but its not a tool for success outside. In order to understand these basics in farming we also have to let go of what we've learned from indoor growing. Primarily the temp and humidity as control. That word or interpretation will change. Outdoor growers can swallow this pill easier than indoor but again I have people coming here this week to walk through these methods in detail because there buddy bought a greenhouse with a cooling system. Cooling air mitigates surface temps. It can be costly and ineffecient during the summer and you need to have a low relative humidity outside for the evaporative cooling to work. Wet walls can add humidity and clog capillaries. Plants that are trying to transpire from excessive sun or heat will undoubtedly get sick or mold. Just because plants make it doesn't mean they won't test positive. Ive been to a few cups last year and the microbial tests are coming in high. And these are all outdoor, light dep competitions. I know light dep historically can test positive but most of these entries are in some sort of greenhouse. That mean the greenhouses are set up wrong and the growers are missing the mark. Ive met with several people lately I thought "knew what was up" but they clearly haven't heard my rant... Surface temps and plant temps are 2 different things and we can control surface temps without cooling the air. The more natural you grow the more beneficial your medicine will be. Create hostile environments and plan on getting accessories to deal with the results of that plan. If you'd like to learn more check out my blogs https://foreverflowering.net/category/erics-blog/
