3 年Practical approaches to data testing, some #dataTestingThatWorks. 20 years in the industry and I have yet to see something that does not make the teams cringe with dread and managers duck and resort to lipservice at best... data testing is hard. Is there a better way?

It sure does, looks like it could be a natural round-up of the months activities/findings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Based on your current profile have a wee bit to do with BI, and most of the people that have responded seem to fall into similar categories is there a list of "suggested topics" that you'd like to see? For example, would you really care about anything having to do with Index Maintenance in SQL Server or how to prevent fragmentation in ever-increasing keyed indexes or how to improve performance of queries by doing a trick with any LOBs that are contained in the table as well as preventing fragmentation? Maybe more in the area of BI, would you be interested in how to do Linear Regression and (what I call) "segmented Linear Regress) and the calculation of R2 (R-squared)? Would you want to see things like the many reasons why you should NOT use Recursive CTEs that "count"? Would you like to see quick code methods that expand all the days for the Start and End Dates for every row in a table? Are you interested in knowing what a "Pseudo-Cursor" is in T-SQL and how to use it to replace complex calculations? In other words, who is your target audience, what subjects do YOU envision being included in YOUR newsletter, and what is the newsletter actually going to look like?
