Testing out the Generative Fill on Photoshop Beta

I recently tested out AI-powered extend-background using generative fill on Photoshop beta. I have been playing with it for a while but this is the first time I tested out this feature.

I took a close-up shot of myself using my Canon R10 - RF 50 1.8 lens. Uploaded the image to Photoshop beta. From there I used the crop tool to extend the picture.

Then I hit the generative fill option on PS beta without giving it any prompt, making sure It does all the work. The first two results were ok but the third result was pretty good.

As you can see the result is pretty impressive, the depth of field is retained well. It genuinely looks like an original image apart from the fact that it gave me the forearms of a bodybuilder ??

This really makes us think about where AI will take us in the coming years. The best we can do is keep ourselves updated with the trend and make the most out of it ????
