Testing a new service
Monday 11/18/19...
Alright, so this week should be an interesting one. I started testing ideas on a new service last week. I've had some thoughts about it over the weekend and am fully committed to this new direction moving forward. That means some big changes in message from the top down.
I should spend time reviewing my persona worksheet to make updates to my ideal buyer as well as the worksheet itself. That will help me better understand who I should be talking to and which filters to use in Sales Navigator.
I already changed my intro message to the people I connect with, but I'll play around with that a bit more because I'm not crazy about where I landed.
That should change the entire conversation when I'm talking to those who respond, but that's not a part that worries me. I've gotten good at leading conversations and actually really enjoy getting to connect with people.
The next step will be to update my headline and profile (again), followed by my website. I don't think I'm quite ready for that, but I'll probably change my mind on that by tomorrow and start tinkering with my LinkedIn profile.
The website is a big commitment, but I can always create a new page and hide the one that's there now in case I need to repurpose that content.
The idea here is to rapidly test and adjust to make sure I'm talking to the right people and that there's indeed a challenge there for me to solve. Ultimately, there are a lot of people out there, especially those with startups, who have to sell in order to grow their business but just don't enjoy the process.
I was one of those people and I managed to make it fun. To focus on the parts I'm good at and actually enjoy - talking to people about what I'm passionate about. My goal with this new service is to help others overcome this challenge so they too can enjoy the grind of growing their business.
