The Testing Mindset

People often ask me if posting only once a day on LinkedIn is the best strategy, as many "experts" advise.
My response typically surprises them (as the best answers often do)... because I genuinely prioritize their interests and have conducted extensive groundwork myself.
I usually counter with a question, "Have you been posting once a day?" If not, I often suggest posting daily for a month to build up your consistency muscles (a topic I'll cover in another article).
For those who have been posting daily for a few months, I recommend, "Why not try posting more than once a day for a week to see how it compares with your previous results?"
The Testing Mindset: An Introduction
Ironically, this suggestion frequently elicits surprise.
It appears that many people follow expert advice without considering what might best suit their specific needs in the current season they are in.
This approach can be problematic, as an expert's strategy may not yield the best results for your specific goals.
CAUTION: I'm not advising against seeking expert guidance. However, I do emphasize the importance of testing their advice before assuming it will work for you, even if the test lasts only a few days or a week.
I'll give you an example: We have onboard several inbound clients from our YouTube Videos lately - click here to subscribe.
It's crucial to not just "follow YOUR data" but to also ensure you're following the RIGHT data.
What do I mean by this?

Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach is vital. Equally important is knowing where to look for inspiration.
As well as selecting a mentor or model that aligns with your current skills or the skills you aim to develop is key.
For instance, as a business owner, you might draw inspiration from someone like Gary Vaynerchuk, who posts three times a day on LinkedIn, rather than from a more conservative corporate leader.
The Testing Mindset Applies to All Facets of Life
You will encounter a variety of advice throughout your life.
Adopting a testing mindset means not blindly accepting others' rules as your own. Pay more attention to your inner intuition.
And that includes advice from me.
Always test what works best for YOU. People often get stuck because they lose that childlike sense of "play." They don't want to look "foolish" if their tests fail.
BUT courage is often the cost of greatness and there is no shortcut.
Sincerely,
Shanee Moret

1 年Shanee Moret This is a great Newsletter! I absolutely agree, when it comes to posting, you have to create a testing cycle and monitors.?Once you start achieving the desired affects, then as needed rerun your test cycles with the message and timing as well.?At the end of the day, you may improve on your desired results by doing so.?Especially, with the messaging, you never want it to go stale, it may damage the overall Brand and Image.
