In a groundbreaking alliance, ZalaZONE InnoTech joined forces with industry leaders for the recently concluded 2023 NémoGREEN project.

Conducted within the cutting-edge facilities of our Proving Ground, this initiative aimed at revolutionizing energy consumption and emissions in diverse transport setups, marking a significant leap forward in sustainable road transport practices.

The project's focal points included an in-depth investigation into an eco-friendly approach to international road transport and the meticulous exploration of the most effective system settings and driving characteristics for optimal performance and sustainability.

The results extracted from this collaboration are poised to reshape industry paradigms, providing a roadmap for the future of energy-efficient and sustainable transportation solutions.

On the Road to Autonomy: Meet AVL ZalaZONE's Motorway Module

Within the expansive facilities of AVL ZalaZONE lies the Motorway Module, a track catering to the unique needs of testing and validating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Stretching across 1,500 meters, this dynamic module boasts 2x2 traffic lanes complemented by a safety lane, providing a realistic motorway environment essential for the comprehensive evaluation of ADAS systems. The track predominantly features asphalt surfaces, ensuring a diverse range of motorway scenarios. Notably, a 170-meter concrete section adds an extra layer of complexity to the testing environment.

Diversity is key, with various designs of separating elements, including single- and double-row strip railings and New Jersey elements, enhancing the module's versatility. The critical aspects of autonomous driving, such as joining and leaving the motorway, are addressed through the inclusion of 2+2 entry and exit junctions within the module.

Moreover, a strategically positioned bridge over the #motorway opens avenues for testing scenarios involving built-in vehicle sensors and cameras, providing a comprehensive evaluation of their functionality in a real-world setting.

Reflecting on a Day of Innovation and Celebration at AVL ZalaZONE

The curtains have closed on this year's Magyar Járm?alkatrészgyártók Országos Sz?vetsége MAJOSZ Conference held on our proving ground, and what a day it was!

Four engaging roundtable discussions, ten insightful presentations, a bustling exhibition featuring 13 key industry players, and a lineup of 20 vehicles on display made for an eventful gathering at our state-of-the-art Event Center.

This year’s event marked the 30th anniversary of MAJOSZ, and the joy of this milestone was shared with 217 esteemed guests. It wasn't just a day of useful insights but also an immersive experience for all attendees.

Adding to the excitement, visitors had the exclusive chance to engage in test drives on the Handling Course of our test track, experiencing firsthand the cutting-edge capabilities of our proving ground.

We eagerly anticipate the prospect of next year's conference, where we can once again unite with industry leaders, share knowledge, and explore the limitless possibilities that our proving ground offers.
