"From the moment I started my railway engineering course at Newham College, I knew I had found my passion. Through dedicated study and hard work, I earned my Level 2 NVQ in railway engineering and track maintenance. However, I knew that practical experience was crucial to truly excel in this field. That's when I discovered the Viking Group, and it was a game-changer. Meeting incredible individuals like Karl Clack (Director of Viking Resources) who believed in my potential, I was given an opportunity to onboard and start my journey of growth and progress in my rail career. With the team’s guidance and support, I gained real experience and developed my skills.

Today, I am proud to say that I am an experienced track operative. But it doesn't stop there. I’m also passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others who are new to the industry. As part of my role, I have the privilege of sharing my experiences and mentoring less experienced track operatives, supporting them to be the best they can be. I am very grateful for the opportunities and experiences I have gained throughout my career so far. Viking Group has not only provided me with a platform to develop but has positioned me among like-minded professionals who are committed to delivering high standards within railway engineering.
