Testia starts operational business in the field of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM)

Testia GmbH, Bremen has taken over the business Hantke Industrie Messtechnik (HIM) of Stade

From 1st March 2017 Testia GmbH, whose Headquarter are located in Bremen, took over the strain gauge and sensor application business of Hantke Industrie Messtechnik (HIM) in Stade. By taking over this business, Testia is stepping into the market of SHM by providing worldwide services of sensor and SHM systems installation. The services include:

• Initial installation
• Connection and protection of sensors, cables and systems
• Repair and retrofitting of existing systems
• Full SHM solution for Aerospace, Infrastructure, Wind Energy and other industries
• Installation training

This business capability compliments the Testia strategy to be a leader in innovative NDT, with SHM being the next ground-breaking approach to ensure the integrity of structures. In this framework SHM can be used for:

• Detection and monitoring of defects.
• Overload detection
• Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)

As a Market leader HIM was a company with over than 15 years’ experience in the field of strain gauges application based in Stade, Germany. Its facility close to the Airbus plants and is member of the CFK Valley e.V. With the expertise in the field of sensor installation it is recognised as a strategic supplier to Airbus, Airbus Helicopter, Siemens, Volkswagen and other customers.
