In the Austrian economy, more than 25,000 specialists in the field of software programming are currently urgently needed, and the trend is rising! The acute shortage of IT experts affects not only the IT sector but also the entire economy, as well as administration, public authorities, and science. The demand for specialists continues to rise. Positions that cannot be filled are costing revenue, burdening companies' ability to innovate, and slowing down the digital transformation and thus competitiveness.

The international, non-profit program school "Ecole` 42", which will establish its first Campus 42Vienna in Austria in the fall of 2022, is making a contribution to solving the shortage of skilled workers, but also the challenges of our time.

How to develop a Minimum Viable Product with Story Mapping, Prototyping & Co.

No alt text provided for this image

One way for a startup to secure feedback is to deliver the minimum viable product (MVP).

The MVP approach is based on the premise that you can provide sufficient customer value by delivering minimal features that early adopters will use. You can then collect feedback that will enable you to build a better product that will resonate with future users.

As with other methods of collecting customer feedback, such as win-loss analysis, beta programs and focus groups, the MVP approach does not negate the need for market research.

In this talk, Umut Uzgur, Engineering Tech Lead at Checkly, gives insights into how Checkly successfully developed their latest product feature "In-house Monitoring Agent" with an MVP approach. Among others, he will also talk about market research, story mapping, prototyping, and their advantages and limitations.?
