TestBustersDays 2024: A Host’s Reflection
As we wrap up another incredible TestBustersDays, I wanted to reflect on the event from my perspective as the host. These past two days have been a remarkable experience, filled with engaging conversations, new insights, and a strong sense of community.
We had a fantastic turnout, with 125 unique participants joining us and an average of 65 attendees per session. The level of engagement from all of you—from the thoughtful questions in the Q&A to the discussions in the chat—was truly inspiring. It’s clear that our community is passionate about staying at the forefront of software testing, and it’s an honor to be part of that journey.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the contributions of our incredible speakers. A heartfelt thank you to each one of you for sharing your expertise, time, and energy with us. Your insights sparked conversations that will undoubtedly carry on long after the event, and we are grateful for the knowledge you brought to the table.
A big thank you as well to our sponsors:
Your support helped make this event a success and allowed us to continue fostering a space for testers and engineers to learn and grow.
Looking ahead, we are already gearing up for TestBustersDays 2025 in March. But before that, we’re excited to announce that the next TestBustersNight will be in collaboration with Tesena on November 14th, 2024. This event will be remote, making it easier for more of you to participate!
Thank you again to everyone who joined us for TestBustersDays 2024—whether you were a speaker, a participant, or a sponsor. You made this event something special, and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
Best regards,
Rudolf aka #theCharmingOrganizer

You surely know firsthand the challenges of working with databases. They can be massive, complex, and difficult to access and manage. It’s not uncommon to spend hours or even days trying to locate a single piece of data, let alone manipulate or analyze it. And with the amount of data being generated and collected today, these challenges are only becoming more pronounced.
Another challenge is the need for test data, including maintaining data privacy , ensuring data quality, and optimizing performance. Creating realistic testing data that accurately represents production data can be a time-consuming and error-prone process when handling large db’s.
Fortunately, there’s a solution to these problems: database virtualization.

+++ SMARTESTING - Which coverage indicator for your E2E tests?
Looking to optimize your end-to-end (E2E) testing strategy? This article explores different coverage indicators that can help ensure comprehensive test coverage. Learn how to choose the right metrics to boost your software quality and gain a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of your tests.
When producing E2E test suites, one challenge is to know what to test first, and when to consider that the test suite is sufficient to ensure the desired level of quality.
To make the most rational decisions possible, we need to base our decisions on objective indicators. As far as testing is concerned, one such indicator is coverage. But what does “coverage” mean exactly?
For developers, code coverage is often used as an indicator. Code coverage is a white-box testing technique, primarily performed at the unit testing level. Several criterions can be used to measure how the code is covered by the tests. During the test execution, we can measure:
