In today's edition, we share one of June's biggest achievements for the aviation industry...

Last month was a momentous time for Airbus, with a total of 902 new aircraft added to its order book during the #ParisAirShow. Among them, a significant milestone was achieved as Airbus recorded its 1,000th order for the A350, including both the A350-900 and A350-1000 variants. This remarkable achievement signifies the relentless growth and progress of the aviation industry.

The orders received in June for the A350 included 34 A350-1000s and 6 A350-900s from Air India, 9 A350-1000s from Philippine Airlines, and 10 A350-900s from an anonymous customer. The majority of A350 orders are for the A350-900 (763 aircraft), followed by the A350-1000 (224 aircraft), and 39 orders for the freighter variant, the A350F.

As of now, a total of 568 A350-900s and 74 A350-1000s have been delivered. Prominent airlines leading the fleet numbers include Singapore Airlines with 62, Qatar Airways with 56, Cathay Pacific with 46, Delta Air Lines with 28, and Air China with 27.

The A350 program continues to evolve, with the upcoming debut of the A350F expected in late 2024 or early 2025. This dedicated freighter version will be delivered to customers in 2026, further expanding the versatility of the A350 family.

The journey of the Airbus A350 began in 2004 when it was introduced as a response to the competition posed by Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. Through continuous innovation and customer feedback, Airbus developed the A350 XWB (Extra Wide Body) as a game-changing aircraft. Its wider fuselage, fuel efficiency, and extensive use of composite materials contribute to lower weight and reduced emissions.

Since its first flight in 2013 and subsequent certifications in 2014, the A350 has garnered worldwide acclaim for its exceptional performance and passenger comfort. With the introduction of the A350-1000 in 2017, Airbus further expanded its product range to cater to diverse market demands.

The growth of the A350 program and its success in the market reflects the industry's confidence in Airbus and the continued expansion of the aviation sector. As air travel rebounds and the demand for more sustainable aircraft increases, the A350's advanced features and eco-friendly design position it as a prominent choice for airlines seeking long-term success.
