How Does the New Zeekr 001 Drive?

With all these features, how does it drive? We tested the top-spec YOU AWD version, with a total power output of 789 hp and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds.

For a family car, such acceleration is more than sufficient. Even the base model, with 422 hp and 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, is more than adequate for daily use.

The new Zeekr 001's tuning is commendable. Despite ample power reserves, the car does not feel overly aggressive. In Eco and Comfort modes, the power delivery is linear and responsive. In Sport mode, the 3.3-second acceleration is thrilling, providing an exhilarating experience.

The version we tested had dual-chamber air suspension. The overall comfort and handling are excellent. Comfort is evident in the smooth absorption of bumps and potholes, with the suspension tuned for a sporty feel without being excessively harsh. Handling is also superb, with minimal body roll during cornering, instilling confidence even at higher speeds.

Interior Comfort and Space:

Inside, the Zeekr 001 boasts a high-quality feel with extensive leather wrapping and meticulous craftsmanship. While many modern EV interiors look similar in photos, the Zeekr 001 stands out in person with its premium feel.

The new Zeekr 001 has a wheelbase exceeding 3 meters (3005mm), offering ample rear legroom.

Unlike many EVs that compromise rear headroom for a sleek profile, the Zeekr 001 balances practicality and space well. The hatchback-style trunk provides a large opening, and the rear seatback reclines for a more relaxed seating position.
