Test drive or not?

If you want to buy a super car, of course you want to test drive it. However with some regularity news articles appear of someone crashing a super car while test driving it. In the far majority of these cases the person test driving the car is lacking the training to properly handle these advanced machines.. thereby ruining: his day, the sale of the car, proper judgement about the performance and (worse!) possibly harming others....

Would you let someone test drive your software?

The same mechanism applies to modern software, without the proper training there is a serious risk of misjudging the capabilities of the software therefore missing opportunities for all involved.
