Dear Ronwellers, ??
In today's edition, we have exciting news and updates from the world of Test Automation.
1 | ??? Ronwell Talk: Quick Tips for QA Test Automation Engineers
We had the opportunity to speak with a Test Automation Engineer, Mustafa Burak A?ICI, who shared his experience in the field. He highlighted the importance of Test Automation in reducing the time to market and improving the overall quality of the product. He also mentioned that Test Automation is not just about writing test scripts but it also involves collaboration with the development team to identify the right test cases and provide feedback on the application's design and functionality.
?? Could you tell us about yourself??
Hello, this is Mustafa Burak A?ICI. I work at Ronwell as a QA Test Automation Engineer. I'm a highly obsessed and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for technology and problem-solving. I see life as an open-world RPG whose code wrote by God. All I'm doing is maximizing all my skills, admiring God, training jiu-jitsu, and automating everything I can.?
?? What is a test automation job like??
A test automation job involves using tools and technologies to automate the testing of software products, to ensure quality and reliability.
?? What do you like most about your job??
I love to find flaws, imperfections, and little typos between the lines in every aspect. And unlike humans, machines work better if you correct them.?
?? Why did you choose to have a career in Test Automation??
I chose a career in test automation because ensuring the quality and reliability of software products is a big part of our fully automated future projection. With test automation, we can automate repetitive tasks -which is boring- find the bugs early in the development process and ultimately deliver better products for the customers.?
?? Is automation a promising career?
A career in test automation can be both challenging and rewarding and offers a lot of potential for career growth and advancement.
?? What are the most popular tools for QA automation testing?
Selenium, Appium, Jmeter, Cucumber?
?? Why is testing important in software development?
Testing is essential in software development because it helps to find and fix problems before software is released to users.
???In the future, does Automated testing replace Manual Testing?
While automated testing has many advantages over manual testing, it is unlikely to replace it soon completely
?? What would you recommend to someone new to test automation??
Train everything.?

Guide to +100 Types of Software Testing
Testing is an integral part of the software development process, and understanding the different levels of testing is crucial to ensure that the software meets the required quality standards. From unit testing to acceptance testing, there are various levels of testing that developers and testers must be aware of to deliver quality software.
In our guide, we have listed over a hundred different types of testing, including functional testing, performance testing, security testing, and more. It's a comprehensive guide that can help you understand the various types of testing and when to use them in your software development process.
3 | Smoke Testing vs. Regression Testing: Which One to Use and When?
Smoke Testing vs. Regression Testing is a hot topic among testers and developers, and it's essential to understand the differences between the two.
Smoke Testing is used to ensure that the essential features of the software are working correctly, while Regression Testing is used to ensure that new changes do not impact existing functionality.
Smoke testing goal is to find and fix mistakes immediately so advanced testing doesn't waste time.
Regression testing is a method for ensuring that changes to the program, such as bug fixes or changes to a new version release, do not affect other application features.
In our article, we explore the differences between Smoke Testing and Regression Testing and when to use them.
4 | Test-Driven Development (TDD) vs. Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
When it comes to testing methodologies, there's a lot of debate around Test-Driven Development (TDD) vs Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). Both methodologies have their pros and cons, and it's essential to understand which one is right for your development process.

?? How They Work Together
BDD and TDD can work together in an Agile development process. BDD provides a way to describe the expected behavior of the application and its features in clear and concise language that can be understood by all members of the development team, including business stakeholders.?
These specifications can then be used to drive the creation of TDD tests, which are more focused on the implementation details of the code.
In this way,?BDD can provide a higher-level view of the application's behavior and ensure that all use cases are covered. In contrast,?TDD can provide a more fine-grained view of the code's behavior and ensure its robustness and correctness.?
By using both approaches in conjunction, development teams can achieve a more comprehensive testing strategy that covers both the behavior and implementation aspects of the code.
In our article, we explore the differences between the two and provide insights into which one you should use.
